Phillip A. Vargo, II heads Davis & Davis, Attorneys at Law, P.C.’s Stanly County office. A Stanly County resident, Phillip is proud to serve the community he calls home. His practice focuses on criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation. He currently serves as Vice President of the Stanly County Bar Association.

A trial attorney, Phillip relishes advocating for his clients in court and achieving meaningful results. Known for his preparation, attention to detail, and strategic approach to litigation, he works closely with clients to navigate complex legal issues and secure the best possible outcomes. He was recognized as a member of Business North Carolina Magazine's Legal Elite in 2026.

Raised on a small farm in western Pennsylvania, Phillip developed a strong foundation of hard work, responsibility, and perseverance—values that continue to guide his legal practice. He earned his law degree from Liberty University School of Law and was elected by his classmates to serve as Attorney General and Class Senator for the Student Bar Association.

Prior to joining Davis & Davis, Phillip gained experience as a summer associate at a North Carolina law firm focused on criminal and civil litigation. He also served as a legal intern for a District Attorney’s Office in western Pennsylvania, further broadening his courtroom experience.

Outside the office, Phillip enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and serving at his church.
