A. Michael ("Mike") Davis, Jr., enjoys litigating complex cases at Davis & Davis, Attorneys at Law, P.C. Mike practices in our Stanly County office, although he enjoys traveling to courthouses across multiple regions in the Tar Heel State.

Mike concentrates his practice in criminal defense and family law, where he has a keen eye for solving complicated issues. His skills have been recognized by his inclusion to Business North Carolina Magazine's Legal Elite in family law in 2026. His leadership is recognized by his selection as the current president of the Stanly County Bar Association.

Prior to joining Davis & Davis, Mike served as an Assistant District Attorney in Rockingham County, North Carolina, primarily litigating jury and bench trials. He has also served as a staff attorney in mass tort litigation at Womble Bond Dickson, LLP, in North Carolina. Prior to law practice, Mike was a Probation/Parole Officer and Assistant Clerk in Mecklenburg County, providing diversified experience in the judicial system.

Born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, Mike graduated from Elon University School of Law. A Dean’s Scholarship recipient, he received the David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism, the most prestigious honor bestowed upon an Elon Law student. This award represents a student's embodiment of and dedication to the core values of leadership and professionalism as nominated by peers, professors, and staff. Mike also steered the Honor Council as chairman, presided over the Criminal Law Society as president, and acted as a guiding mentor for first-year law students.

When not in the office, Mike enjoys spending time with friends and family and cheering on the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
